Club Chartered in February of 1969 by the Kinsmen Club of Brockville Today we have 37 members including 6 Life Members.

We meet every second Monday at the Lion’s Den on Abbott St. in Smiths Falls, beginning September 9th. Interested guests should call our President to book a meal as our meals are catered by Angelo’s Restaurant.

The goal of our Club is to better our community by promoting service, fellowship, family values and national pride. Our internal goal is to provide opportunities for members and clubs to develop leaders and to serve their community.

We have 4 major projects that are ongoing.

  1. TV Bingo- held every Wednesday on Shaw Cable 10 at 5:45, tickets available throughout the area in 15 locations
  2. TV Auction- held in April each year, merchants are canvassed for donations of merchandise and services which are bid on over a 3 night auction on Shaw Cable 10, proceeds are donated to Cystic Fibrosis
  3. Trip Lottery- monthly draw from tickets purchased in September/October for 12 trips to various vacation spots, limited number tickets (250) usually 220 are sold
  4. Bar-b-Que and Beer Garden during Settler’s Days- usually the gathering place for many during the summer community festival, involves every member of our club as this is a major undertaking.

Our Club also has many smaller projects ongoing like walkathons, hosting a hockey tournament, working the Santa Claus parades in Smiths Falls and Perth, selling raffle tickets and many others. Each member of the club has responsibility to make the club a united team.

We make many donations during the year, usually totally over $35,000.00. Our major charity, which all Kinsmen and Kinettes support is Cystic Fibrosis, but many donations are given out to over 30 organizations. Donations last year where to the Smiths Falls and Perth Community Hospital, Camp Merrywood, Smiths Falls and District Collegiate Bursaries, the Salvation Army Christmas Fund, Midnight Junction, Operation Go Home, Lanark County Food Bank, Interval House, Boy Scouts and Girl Guides, Smiths Falls Fire Department’s Learn Not To Burn Program, and sports, dance, golf organizations. We also support all the national charities like Cancer, Heart and Stroke and many others.
